Hello Beautiful Women! My name is Kimberly Valencia! I am a women’s health nurse practitioner, and I practice with a holistic and functional medicine philosophy . I am so happy to welcome you to Valencia & Sage, LLC where I will offer women a unique way of approaching health and wellness. I want to take this opportunity to share a little bit about myself and my philosophy.
Kimberly Valencia, ARNP
I have been a nurse for 35 years and 14 of those years a nurse practitioner serving women in primary care. I have learned a great deal from the women I have worked with, and with that knowledge and understanding, I have come to believe that women need a different approach to midlife health and wellness. I have created Valencia & Sage, LLC to inspire women to achieve the vibrant health they desire and deserve.
My philosophy of care is holistic. I consider not only the physical body but also the energy body, the mind and emotions, and the spirit/soul. All of these are interconnected to make us whole beings.
I am a big believer in the power of knowledge and am committed to teaching women about their health. I hope that you will read my blog where my intent is to provide you with inspiration and information on a wide range of women’s health topics from my holistic and functional perspective.
I love practicing with an integrative medicine approach incorporating complementary and alternative modalities into treatment. I believe in identifying symptoms but not masking them for the sake of “feeling better”. I believe in thorough testing and finding the root cause of the health problem. I believe in supporting health with natural approaches including vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements, nutrition, movement, mind-body techniques, and I believe prescription medication is a last resort.
For any given health concern, I typically offer a wide range of treatment recommendations including nutrition, herbal remedies, vitamin and mineral supplements, mindfulness practices such as meditation and yoga, exercise counseling, autonomic nervous system evaluation, biofeedback, energy body work, and much more. I often encourage other forms of healing such as massage, acupuncture, physical therapy and behavioral health therapy. I also offer coaching to walk you through the process of making lifestyle changes or learning new ways to achieve health.
I am a member of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) and have been certified as a NAMS Menopause Practitioner. I love helping women transition through peri-menopause and menopause as I strongly believe that this can be a time of opportunity, self-understanding, creativity, vibrant health and a time to set the stage for the rest of your life!
I am so excited to work with you and share with you my holistic approach to women’s health! Until we meet… take good care!
